Sigma is delighted to announce three award wins last week across three cornerstones of the business – from investment, to development and social impact.
The Love To Rent Awards took place on Friday 3rd November where Sigma’s Simple Life was shortlisted for the Tech in BTR Award (My Simple Life Mobile App), Best Single Family Housing Development Award (Stonefield Edge in Wolverhampton) and Social Impact in BTR. Sigma proudly walked away, winning awards for the Best Single Family Housing Development Award (The PRS REIT’s Stonefield Edge in Wolverhampton) and Social Impact in BTR (covering our work with: Outward Bound Trust, Park Palace Ponies, Book Boxes, GreenTheUK, Burton Albion Community Trust, Speed of Sight, NSPCC).
Judges commented on the Social Impact Award:
‘The judges really felt that this entry understood social value and the broader benefits that this will deliver to local communities. They give a strong investment in education and realise that improving schools makes areas more desirable for families to move to. They have undertaken many different ‘learning outside the classroom’ projects investing into children’s education and social interaction. Part of their investment was into projects that their residents had put forward, demonstrating an understanding of resident involvement. The judges were impressed with the diversity of engagement activity and this entry’s commitment to delivering positive results across their schemes.’
Judges commented on the Best BTR Single Family Housing Development:
‘This already multi award winning scheme is a large mixed use residential development. The judges were particularly impressed with the placemaking, resulting from significant investment which had changed the development from a brownfield site to a lively community for its residents. Also worthy of note was the operator’s dedication to energy efficient design, which pulled through to their innovative closed panel modern method of construction, with each home being constructed off-site. The scheme success has been demonstrated by recognition as one of the top Midlands developments and it remains fully-let since the site was launched 18 months ago.’
Additionally, on Wednesday 1st November, Sigma, on behalf of The PRS REIT plc attended the Citywire Investment Trust Awards 2023, walking away with the Best Property Specialist Trust Award. ‘The PRS REIT plc was recognised for having the the best underlying net asset value (NAV) total return over three years. In a bear market for property funds this year, the shares have seen their discount widen to 34% from a 12-month average of 30%.’
