In recognition of the challenges facing not only the UK housing market but also the challenges facing those who wish to enter it, The PRS REIT aims to grow a portfolio of accessible, high quality rental properties incorporating a range of house types and sizes suitable for first time entrants, families, and downsizers, allowing tenants to remain with us throughout the various stages of life.
The current rental market is characterised by small scale private ownership in which tenant’s security of tenure is directly linked to the fortunes of their landlord. The PRS REIT puts the tenant at the heart of the proposition as its interests as a plc REIT are entirely aligned with those of its customers, thereby allaying any concerns tenants may have over their ability to stay in their home over the longer term. Whilst living in the houses the tenants have access to a professional management resource, through our lettings partner SDL Group, which aims to ensure that their time in one of our homes runs smoothly. The properties are deliberately located to provide good access to employment, local services and within the catchment for good quality primary education, all helping to promote long term occupancy.
The homes are delivered through the Investment Advisers proven and well tested platform using the construction expertise of its partners Countryside Properties, Keepmoat Homes and Keepmoat Regeneration in locations around the UK. The initial roll out of nearly 500 homes is already underway with a further 2000+ in the immediate pipeline.
The rollout and management of the REIT is the responsibility of a strong team of experienced professionals from property, finance and investment backgrounds overseen by a non-executive board of industry leading figures.
